Umweltschutz ist der Erhalt der Artenvielfalt, die Pflege von Kultur- und Naturraum, er ist saubere Gewässer, saubere Luft, ein intakter, nachhaltig bewirtschafteter Wald oder der Ausbau erneuerbarer Energieträger.
Der Burgenländische Umweltanwalt wurde zum Schutz der Umwelt eingerichtet.
